Whatsapp Now Has Free Calling Feature

whtaspp
xactly 5 months ago, we gave you the news that Whatsapp was thinking of bringing the much-awaited calling feature to its users. However, what didn’t happen then is finally happening now.
If reports are to be believed, WhatsApp is busy testing its voice-calling feature these days. The feature is available to a limited number of people in India, and can be activated only through invite-only basis. If someone who has got this feature gives you a Whatsapp call, then you would be able to get the call feature in your Whatsapp account. However, if you want to download the APK file, you need to go to the Android section on the official website of Whatsapp.
Coming to the interface, when the feature is installed, you would see a ‘Calls’ section in the Whatsapp window, which means that you would also be able to keep a tab on the calls you make through Whatsapp. Only Android users will be able to get this feature as of now, and they too need to have the latest version of Whatsapp, version 2.11.508, to get the feature.
This news is certainly not going to go well with the Telecom companies in India, who are already facing issues because of increased preference that users give to messenger apps instead of SMS services.
