HP Spectre 13, The Thinnest Laptop Ever

It appears Apple has already lost the battle for the world’s thinnest laptop as HP releases a ‘paper-thin’ laptop called Hp Spectre 13. With just a thickness of 10.4mm, this is definitely the thinnest laptop in the world right now.

HP Spectre 13 loudly screams luxury and class. The design makes some strong statements and one can’t help but marvel at the beauty of the slim laptop. It has an aluminum chasis and the bottom is made of carbon fiber. It weighs only 2.45 pounds, this makes it really easy to balance on one hand. The lean, mean machine is either powered by Intel’s sixth generation core i5 or i7 processor (depending on the config) and sports a PCIe SSD up to 512GB, plus up to 8GB RAM.

HP Spectre has a 13.3-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080) which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. Unfortunately, it isn’t touch-enabled since it would’ve added to the overall thickness. The keyboard too isn’t detachable.

It comes with Bang and Olufsen speakers with HP Audio Boost technology. The battery is said to last up to 9.5 hours. It isn’t just another Windows 10 laptop, it looks like the one leading the myriad of ultra-sleek modern notebooks. It has 3 USB Type-C ports with two supporting Thunderbolt. Heat is eliminated through a heat pipe that takes the heat away from the processor and there are two fans to push it out through the back.
There is no doubt this laptop is designed to be a direct rival to the MacBook. HP Spectre 13 will first be available for pre-order in the US later this month. The asking price is $1,170.
