Fix Motorola xt1541 unlock Unsupported phone model
If you have been trying to unlock Motorola XT1541 with unsupported phone model error, that’s because your device is on Android 6.0.1, with 2017 security patch, which sigma key hasn’t supported yet.see log:

To fix unlock unsupported phone model, you would need to downgrade your Moto XT1541 modem baseband to Android 5.1.1 modem
Before you downgrade, you may need to do a few things:
- Unlock Bootloader
- Root Moto XT1541 and install Supersu.zip
- Downgrade modem baseband
To Unlock Bootloader for Motorola XT1541, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK
On the above link, you’ll be asked to register for a motorola account, please do so, and proceed with bootloader unlock
Once bootloader is unlocked, download twrp recovery for XT1541
Download Supersu from Chainfire
Enable Oem Unlock in Developer Option and usb debugging
Power Off device, Boot to fastboot mode by holding Volume Down and power key
Connect device to Computer, download Minimal adb and Fastboot drivers
Extract the minimal adb and fastboot drivers downloaded above, copy the twrp recovery into the root
directory of your fastboot drivers folder
Rename your twrp recovery to “recovery”
Issue the following command:
fastboot boot recovery.img
Your Moto device will be booted to twrp recovery mode, and device internal storage will be mounted on your computer.
Copy supersu.zip downloaded above to the root directory of your Moto Phone Storage
Click Install, choose Supersu.zip and swipe to the right to install
Wait for Supersu to completely installed, click Reboot System
With the above guide, you’ve rooted Moto XT1541
Download Moto XT1541 Baseband/Modem below link to downgradeDOWNLOAD LINK
Connect Moto XT1541 in Fastboot Mode
Extract the zip file, ,
Open Ultimate Multi Tool – GSM Software.
Select Motorola QC, from the drop down, choose Downgrade Baseband, click on the three dots and go to the extracted firmware folder and choose NON-HLOS.bin and press execute.
Modem file will be flashed and your device will be on 6.0.1 with 5.1.1 baseband
Goto setings enable usb debugging
Now Open Sigma Box Firmware, Choose Qualcom Platform
Boot device into fastboot mode, use volume down scroll to BP Tools and press power key
Download motorola Modem_Diag driver here (Link will be provided shortly)
Connect moto XT1541 Powered on to Computer
Select Moto Diag port
Press Direct Unlock
